Svarog

2017 FIRST Steamworks

Svarog, our robot for the 2017 season, competed in a total of 6 tournaments:

  1. Greensboro: Team 1533 finished in first with a record of 17-3-0. Triple Strange was the captain of the first alliance and was eliminated in the event finals. The following awards were won:
    • District Event Finalist
    • Industrial Design Award sponsored by General Motors
  2. Asheville: Team 1533 finished in third with a record of 10-5-0. Triple Strange was the captain of the second alliance and was eliminated in the quarterfinals. The following awards were won:
    • Gracious Professionalism Award sponsored by Johnson & Johnson
  3. North Carolina State Tournament: Team 1533 finished in seventh with a record of 12-5-0. Triple Strange was picked to join the fourth alliance and was eliminated in the semifinals. Team 1533 was selected to participate in the world tournament because of the point total they accumulated throughout the season.
  4. Houston World Festival, Newton Division: Team 1533 finished in thirty-second place with a record of 6-6-0. Triple Strange was picked to join the fourth alliance and was eliminated in the semifinals.
  5. Offseason THOR @ UNC: Team 1533 finished in fourth place with a record of 7-6-0. Triple Strange was picked to join the fourth alliance and was eliminated in the finals.
  6. Offseason THOR @ Raleigh: Team A and Team B
    • Team A finished in seventh place with a record of 4-4-0. Team A was the captain of the sixth alliance and was eliminated in the quaterfinals.
    • Team B finished in third place with a record of 8-3-0. Team B was the captain of the second alliance and was eliminated in the semifinals.

2016 FIRST Stronghold

ScorpiuS, our robot for the 2016 season, competed in a total of 6 tournaments:

  1. Guilford County: Team 1533 finished in ninth with a record of 7-7-0. Triple Strange was selected to join the first alliance and was eliminated in the quarter-finals. The following awards were won:
    • Industrial Design Award sponsored by General Motors
  2. UNC Asheville: Team 1533 finished in eighth with a record of 9-8-0. Triple Strange was the captain of the second alliance and was eliminated in the semi-finals. The following awards were won:
    • Creativity Award sponsored by Xerox
